DISCLAIMER: This essay is just and additional fun essay I decided to create (I know it will be awful). If everyone likes this one more than essay #5, I could make this the essay I decide to go forward with this one instead. I mage Idea: Linden Peters Akeel Dixon Mrs. Rodems Nonfiction Writing 4/17/2026 Prompt: Do you like being alone? When/Why I like to Be Alone Some people are probably diving into this essay thinking “Of course you’re a loner, Akeel, you always share stories about how introverted you are.” And my response is “You’re…halfway there.” Yes, I am an introvert but when it comes to being alone it really depends on my mood and who’s around me. For example, I always want to be around my brother, Amari, as we’ve been together our entire lives due to being twins, but there are some days where I don’t need Amari around me. When it comes to other members of my family it’s the same way, however with friends and other people it’s a lot more different. Because my loneliness de...

Akeel Dixon Mrs. Rodems Nonfiction Writing 4/15/2026 Prompt: What are your fears and phobias? What the Heck is Automatonophobia? Arachnophobia, Nyctophobia , and Achrophobia, are the fears of spiders, the dark/night, and heights, are common fears for many people. However, I have a fear called Automatonophobia and it is known as the fear of humanoid figures such as, mannequins, dolls, wax figures, and animatronics/robots. Looking at who I am now, ever since I learned about this fear, it appears to stem from my fear of social anxiety when interacting with people. The earliest I remember having this fear as a child was when I would go to clothing stores with my mom, in order to buy school clothes for our family. Because clothing stores which have mannequins everywhere, I assumed they were catalysts for my phobia. And I remember having a specific dream when I was younger that mannequins had co...

The Happiness Money Brings for Everyone By: Akeel Dixon How much money would it take for you to be happy? For me, I would require around a billion dollars. While this comes off as greedy initially, I reassure you this money goes to everyone for happiness on my accord. Famous billionaire, Elon Musk, claims “Whoever said “money can’t buy happiness” really knew what they were talking about”. I theorize his rationale comes from the fact he spends money on himself, instead of bettering the world. Many people on Earth are struggling, and if billionaires thought of providing public facilities and resources such as wells, food banks, libraries, and schools, then maybe the happiness of those who struggle is worth millions. You could also spend money towards friends and family who have been in your life. Acts of kindness towards others are usually met with a smile that is worth more than what any billionaire would spend their money on. The first thing I would do if I obtained an enormo...
